What do you do at Rosetta Inpharmatics?
I am a Research Biologist. Right now, I'm part of a group of biologist working on RNAi or gene knockdowns, trying to understand the mechansim of action. I have a full range of responsiblities from lab bench work to microarray data analysis to lab presentations.
What's so great about your job?
It's a great job because it requires problem solving and being creative, especially when it comes to trying to figure out what's going on inside the cell.
Why did you choose to join Rosetta Inpharmatics?
I came to Rosetta in 1998 because it was the hot, new, start-up company. So much has happened since. It's been exciting to be a part of it.
What do you like to do when you're not at Rosetta?
Outdoor activities like mountain climbing, sport rock climbing, running, biking, backpacking, and working in my garden. Almost anything outdoors.
What's so great about living in the Pacific Northwest?
I was born here and have lived here my entire life, so although I have done alot of traveling, this is home.
